Dorri Thyden has been involved in art projects for more than 15 years in Arizona and Washington, D.C.

Influenced by the larger than life landscapes and vibrant colors of the southwest, Dorri creates large, bright & vivid paintings with a creative perspective. She paints using pure, bright colors, only occasionally mixing or graying colors. Her compositions are simple and consciously not detailed, whether abstract, landscapes or still life. Her work is vibrant, energetic and exciting. She often works on several paintings at the same time because she cannot wait to start the next one.

When she is not painting, Dorri works in marketing and public relations. She has more than 15 years of experience working in government, politics, and public affairs. She holds a B.A. in political science from Arizona State University and a M.P.P. in international security and economic policy from the University of Maryland.
